Deadline To Fill Out Nomination Papers Looms

Time is running out to fill out nomination papers to run in the municipal election.

The deadline is a week from today.

There are currently six people in the running for Mayor.

Election Day for all municipalities in the Province of Ontario is Monday, October 25, 2010. On this day voters in the City of Kingston will elect a Mayor, City Council members, and School Board Trustees to represent them in this community for the next four years.

Advance voting days are scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 16, and Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The term of office is December 1, 2010 to November 30, 2014.
