ABOUT OUR DJ'S
Brian Scott
brian@983flyfm.com
Weekdays – 6a-10a (Breakfast Club), Saturdays 7a-12p
I was born in Chatham, Ontario (hometown of Ferguson Jenkins, the only Canadian in the Baseball Hall of Fame), and grew up on the family farm just outside the city.
My great passions were sports, farming and radio. Since I only scored about four goals in my best season as a hockey player, and my fastball topped out at 48 mph, my dreams of playing for the Bruins or Blue Jays were dashed. And when I saw how expensive farming was, it was off to Fanshawe College in London to begin a life in radio broadcasting.
My radio career began in my hometown and has taken me to stops in London, Ottawa, Toronto and now Kingston. I’ve enjoyed virtually every minute and have worked with some of the funniest and most creative people you could ever hope to meet. On top of that, I’ve been able to experience a ton of neat things (watching Canada Day fireworks from a blimp, taking contest winners to L.A. and the Caribbean, meeting lots of famous folks and more importantly, getting to know some really great listeners) – things that I would never have had the chance to do without radio. It’s been a fun ride.
Many thanks for listening in the morning. It makes the 4 am wake-up well worth it. |

Weekdays – 6a-10a (Breakfast Club), Saturdays 3p-6p
I moved around a lot as a kid and was able to have a taste of both country and city life, which is why living in a city like Kingston is ideal for me. I’ve been working in radio since 1999, with stops in Halifax and Ottawa before I arrived in Kingston in 2002. When I’m not at work I’m likely working on some sort of project, everything from sewing to cutting my dog’s hair. My long list of projects began as a child when my great-grandmother allowed me to store craft supplies in a drawer on one side of her kitchen table. I could work on a craft in between bites! I live with my beau and our dog Benson, a 29 pound Pekepoo. |

I was born and raised just a short drive away in Tweed, the home of North America’s Smallest Jailhouse, those funny fire hydrants and a rumour about Elvis living there – although I’ve never seen him. I'm a 20-something that is proud to call Kingston my home. In the summer you can find me out on a boat with friends or perhaps enjoying a poutine at the Wolfe Island Grill. In the winter, when I’m not watching hockey, I try to go skiing as often as I can. Thanks for reading. |

Weekdays – 2p-7p, Sundays 12p-5p
When I was a little girl I would sit in my room and listen to the radio for hours. The music, the dj’s, the excitement, I dreamed of having an exciting job like that someday. Now here I am at FLY FM! Music is my passion and I’m excited to share that with you by being the Music Director at FLY FM! The celebrity I would most like to interview is Jake Gyllenhaal so I can ask him when we are getting married. Candace Gyllenhaal, how does that sound? My favourite color is yellow and I could dance all night long. Just give me a beat! Thanks for spending time with me weekday afternoons from 2-7pm. |

Jackie Vieira

Weekday News – 3:30pm, 4:30pm, 5:30pm
Hi! Jackie Vieira here from the newsroom! Born and raised in Mississauga, and shockingly, am not a Leafs fan. I am, however, a Montreal Canadiens fan. One of my favourite sports is shopping—I’m great at passing people in the mall, I guess because I do it swiftly in a non-budding manner. Plus, I look at sales associates as referees—for example, when you ask if something is on sale and they say no, that’s similar to getting a strike in baseball. But when you find something that’s 70% off, that’s like hitting a hole-in-a-one! That stuff never happens.
Let’s get back to the news though, I do love it. Working in radio is one of the careers I have wanted to pursue since high school, my other career choice was being a rock star. Any chance I get though, I will try to sing. Ask Candace, she can attest to that! |

I honestly can’t believe I have been with FLY FM for almost 23 years, albeit the last 8 years in part time capacity. I spend my days working as a loans and investment specialist at Kingston Community Credit Union and my evenings trying to entertain you from 7pm-12am. Juggle in a two year old little girl who seems to never sleep and my days are pretty much full. Personally, I used to be a pretty good golfer getting as low as a 1 handicap but am nowhere near that now. My favourite pastime is watching movies, in fact, I actually had a guy convinced one time that Chewbacca won best supporting actor for his role in Star Wars (what a dope). Thanks for listening and keep those requests coming. |
