Bunch of Cheaters

“Life is short. Have an affair.”

That’s the slogan for a match-making website that specializes in hooking up married men and women with an extramarital affair. They even have a 100% Affair Guarantee! Perhaps the most surprising thing, is that they boast over 8 million members around the world.

But it’s not just international cheaters, there’s plenty right here at home. The website claimed in a press release that “on the day after Valentine’s Day, disappointed men and women all over Canada flocked to Canadian infidelity network AshleyMadison.com.” In a statement, a spokesperson for the site said, “This just shows that married men and women who feel undervalued or let down by their partners are exploring other options in pursuit of happiness.”

So… how was your Valentine’s day?

It beat out roses, chocolates, a spa treatment and even a new handbag.

Men Should Boycott Valentine’s Day!

That’s according to Marc Rudov, author, relationship coach, speaker and radio/TV personality.  Marc calls it “Nomance Day” saying, “There’s nothing romantic about coercing men to oblige female entitlement.  Valentine’s Day artificially and unilaterally caters to women.  It’s the media’s annual male-bashing fest; that’s why I call it ‘Nomance Day’ and expect all real men to boycott it.”

Marc goes on to say that he does do sweet things for women, but does it when he chooses, not when women expect or demand it.

I’ll admit that I’m not a huge Valentine’s Day guy, but I always acknowledge my love for my wife in some small way.  I don’t think it’s a great imposition on my “manhood.”  And if it makes my wife happy, why wouldn’t I?
