A woman in the Philadelphia area is recovering from “Blackberry thumb” surgery. She spends 12 hours a day texting clients on her iPhone. “I’m texted out,” she said. Doctors say if you start feeling pain during texting, stop. Don’t try to power through it. Symptoms of Blackberry thumb include pain, inflammation, numbness and tingling. Thewoman is anxious to get back to work, but for now, she’s using the “hunt and peck” method and trying to give her Blackberry thumb a break.
