Okay I will admit….I don’t like feet. I think they’re ugly BUT I do love shoes! Tomorrow I am NOT wearing shoes to work and it’s for a good cause. I will bare my feet to everyone at the station. My little feet at that (I wear a 5.5-6 shoe).
It’s Tom’s One Day Without Shoes. The day to spread awareness of the impact a pair of shoes can have on a child’s life by taking off our own. Why? Millions of children live without proper footwear, exposing them to injury and disease every day. Some children are not allowed to go to school without shoes. After reading about the living conditions that some of these children face everyday and some of the diseases associated with them not having footwear it was heart breaking to me. If they can their lives day to day without shoes and face these issues, I can go 8 hours of my workday without them as well. It may be a little cold and uncomfortable but I’m willling to do it to bring awareness to this issue.
